Its release sparked heated debates about difficulty, legitimacy, and skill within the Geometry Dash community. The level quickly became infamous for its highly technical wave sections. GAMEPLAY

The gameplay challenges players to avoid obstacles carefully. A series of ship and ball sections soon follows, each introducing speed shifts and gravity changes. Geometry Dash Sonic Wave features extremely tight gaps and constant sawblades. These sequences require precision control and consistent rhythm. The final stretch adds intense wave spam and fast transitions that demand unwavering focus until the end screen.

• The level opens from 0% to 8% with a tricky cube sequence requiring orb precision. From 9% to 18%, players face a double-speed ship run with gravity shifts and sawblades demanding perfect flight. Between 19% and 28%, ball gameplay introduces gravity flips, dual mechanics, and exact timing challenges.
• From 29% to 42%, the first brutal wave section begins with tiny gaps and hidden traps. A harder mini-wave follows between 43% and 56%, where players must tap quickly while avoiding fake lines and sawblade spam.
• The pace eases slightly from 56% to 65% with a simple cube run focused on hitting every orb. From 65% to 77%, the level returns to extreme wave gameplay with dual mechanics and invisible spikes.
• Between 78% and 87%, players handle a half-speed mini-wave followed by a memory cube section that demands memorization. The finale, from 88% to 100%, unleashes triple-speed wave spam, sharp hills, and names dedicated to legendary players.
